University of Tulsa selects ex-congressman as next president

TULSA, Okla. (AP) – Attorney and former Democratic U.S. Rep. Brad Carson has been selected as the University of Tulsa’s 21st president, university officials announced Monday.

The university’s Board of Trustees unanimously selected Carson, 54, after a national search that began in July. Carson’s term officially begins on July 1.
